Office Policy and Procedures During COVID-19
Hollytree Dental is excited to welcome you back to our office
We would like to thank you for your continued patience as we gradually reopen our clinic. As always, we remain committed to the safety of our patients, dental team, and community. In keeping with this commitment, you will notice some changes from our normal protocol when you come to your next appointment.
These changes are based on recommendations from the College of Dental Surgeons of BC, the Ministry of Health and Work Safe BC
- Appointments will be scheduled to allow for appropriate social distancing.
- You will be contacted by phone the day before your child’s appointment to complete a COVID-19 screening form.
- When you arrive in the parking lot, please text (778-674-6427) or phone (250-753-5437) and let us know you have arrived prior to entering.
- We ask that just one parent or caregiver accompany each child to their appointment (additional family members will be asked to wait in their vehicle)
- Currently we are not able to offer magazines, children’s toys, or entertainment in our waiting room. Please bring a book or electronic device from home if needed.
- We ask that you use the hand sanitizer at the front door when you enter.
- All patients and family members will be asked to wear a mask in the clinic. For those without a mask, you will be provided one when you arrive.
- Prior to entering the treatment rooms there will be an additional patient screening and body temperature measurement.
- During the dental treatment, family members will be asked to wait in their vehicles.
- We have enhanced our clinic systems by upgrading our PPE (personal protective gear) and infectious disease control protocols.
- Plexi-glass barriers have been installed in the reception area
- Increased cleaning of frequently touched surfaces
- Hand sanitizer is offered at various locations throughout the clinic
- Continued detailed sterilization protocols
- Updated clinic ventilation systems
We understand that your child’s dental appointments may have been interrupted during our office closure. We are working hard to reschedule all of these appointments over the next few weeks. If you feel your child requires immediate dental care, please do not hesitate to call our office so we can arrange a timely appointment.
